- Orders-: All orders placed online are full and final, no cancellations( which does not affect your statutory right) as perishable items are non refundable/returnable.
- Cake/Dessert orders- upon placing your order you will have 48 hours if you change your mind. Thereafter we reserve the right to refund any monies. Celebration/Wedding full Terms and Conditions
- High Chai– please note once you have booked your tickets, you will be given a 48 hour period where you can cancel for a full refund, thereafter these are non refundable. We will not refund any cancellation however, will assist in trying to re sell where we can but this isn’t guaranteed.
Payment– goods must be paid in full at time of order.
Delivery- delivery will be made to single specified address by a carrier of our choice, please allow 3-5 working days if within the UK, for Ireland and Scottish Highlands please allow 7 days. Please ensure correct address is given at time of order, amendments made once items posted will not be honoured. Deliveries to multiple addresses will incur an additional charge.. Items posted within UK, Ireland and Scotland only. No European or International delivery offered at present.
- Cakes Delivery– We deliver within 10 mile radius of our Kitchen in Uxbridge, we can offer delivery further a field please contact us. Our delivery charges are based on mileage- please refer to our Delivery Info
Cake collection– Once you or your representative picks up the cake you assume responsibility and liability for the condition of cakes once it leaves our possession.
Storing of cakes: At Chinskitchen, cakes are made as close as possible to date of collection/delivery, from the delivery/collection date please consume the cakes within 3-4 days and store it in a cool dry place. Do not refrigerate the cakes as they will become dry and stale. Store them in the box provided if uncut or a suitable container.
Storing of Nankhatai– once opened please transfer into an airtight container and consume by best before date. Leaving them open in their packaging will result in shortbread becoming soft.
Allergens:Our products are baked and decorated in a kitchen where wheat, dairy, soya, nuts and other allergens are used. Although your cake/bakes may directly not contain nuts, it may come in contact with nuts in the kitchen where prepared. An allergen label will be supplied for each product ordered.
Quality Assurance– All of our products are quality tested and packed from fresh to ensure freshness upon delivery. All products including nankhatai are hand packed in suitable packing to minimise any damage caused in transit. However, due to the nature of the biscuits, some damage may occur which unfortunately is beyond our control. We are under no obligation to make any refunds or replacements for this type of damage to the biscuits/shortbreads. If goods are severely damaged in transit, it is your responsibility to contact us upon receipt of goods within 24 hours and photo’s must be taken without the Packaging being opened (cellophane pack).
Customer’s responsibility– Once goods have been dispatched it is the customers responsibility to contact us if they have not received their items within 3-5 days. Please not we cannot keep a track on all of our client’s deliveries, we would be happy to provide you with the tracking details. We accept no liability for parcels damaged where the courier has attempted to deliver several times and have failed or if wrong address has been provided. If for any reason there is a delay in dispatch of your order from our kitchen we will email all our customers.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned – as our food items are perishables, they are exempt from bring returnable, unless the item is faulty, incorrect or damaged. You need to contact us via email within 24 hours of accepting the delivery should they be faulty. incorrect or damaged. Please refer to Quality Assurance above.
If 24 hours have gone by since receipt of your order, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. Some of our gifts that are not perishable our policy extends to 15 days.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase as well as photographic proof. You must present photographic evidence of the outer packaging, inner packaging and goods without the cellophane pack being opened. If the pack is opened we will not consider a replacement/refund claim. In certain cases we will also request the product to be returned to us. Please refer below for the shipping costs and returns.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges (if applicable)

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable, If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
